Monarch secures deal to deliver ‘tangible improvements’ at Birmingham airport

A deal to deliver ‘tangible improvements’ in service for Monarch at Birmingham airport has been secured by the airline.

It comes as part of a contract with a new ground-handling provider at Birmingham.

Aviator is taking on all ground-handling operations at the airport for Monarch.

Monarch Airlines chief operations officer, Nils Christy, said: “This change to Monarch’s operations at Birmingham airport represents our ongoing commitment to customer service.

“Aviator are already well established at Birmingham providing services to 12 other airlines.

“We understand that ground-handling has an important impact on our customers’ experiences and we are mindful that high service levels need to come as standard across Monarch – which includes any interactions our customers may have with third party suppliers.”

Aviator strategic business partner, Mark Gower, added: “Monarch is a very welcome addition into our airline portfolio in Birmingham and hopefully the start of a great future partnership between our two companies.

“Our staff in Birmingham are committed to delivering Aviator’s ‘service that moves you’ philosophy and are pulling together to make this transition as smooth and successful as possible.”
