Italian villa specialist Cottages to Castles is to close due to “increasingly difficult trading conditions”.
The company, which has sold villa and apartment rentals in Italy for more than 30 years, will close for business on September 30.
In a statement sent to trade partners this week, director Claudio Magoni said: “This is due to the increasingly difficult trading conditions we have experienced in recent years.”
The operator moved to reassure agents with clients travelling this year that holidays will still go ahead and wouldn’t be affected by the closure.
The statement continued: “For any advance bookings for 2016 we will be in touch in due course to discuss how these might be retained for your clients.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the years.”
