Cresta Holidays is offering one free child place for every two fare paying adults on air-inclusive breaks to Disneyland Paris for departures before June 25. The offer is available on selected British Midland flights from Heathrow, East Midlands and Leeds Bradford.


Corsica specialist Holiday Options has added seven new resorts to its Summer 1999 Islands Collection brochure taking the total number of properties featured on the island to 33. Prices lead in at £285 for seven nights in Calvi with early and late season savers offering discounts up to £180 per couple. Also new is a Birmingham departure to Bastia every Sunday between May and October.


Accommodation-only specialist Apartments Abroad has launched two dedicated brochures for France to assist independent travellers. Freedom of France and Touring France highlight the Logis de France chain of 280 family-run hotels and a selection of one to four-star hotels respectively. Hotels featured in the brochure start from £12 per night for bed and breakfast based on two adults sharing.


Coach holiday operator Leger Holidays is offering short breaks, battlefield tours and longer-duration holidays in its 1999 programme. Prices lead in at £99 per person for a three-day Paris City Hopper short-break and range up to £369 for a nine-day Bordeaux, Biarritz and Lourdes itinerary, including coach transport, accommodation and excursions.


Rail Europe is replacing its pocket-sized timetable booklet with an A4 brochure this month to create a stronger selling tool for travel agents. Destination and event information will be included alongside timetables and timetable information on new destinations such as the Atlantic Coast, Languedoc, Champagne and the Alps will be added.


Golden Tulip Worldwide has announced plans for three new Tulip Inns and a new Golden Tulip Hotel to open in France in July. The Golden Tulip Le Pera will be located in central Paris and will offer conference facilities and private parking. The three inns will be located in Paris, Rouen and in Biarritz.
