Tours to Iran have been reintroduced by Cox & Kings after a five-year gap.

Ten departures are planned for 2016, with the first leaving on March 3.

Recently improved Foreign and Commonwealth Office advice has made it possible for the company to organise group tours to Iran once again.

Announcing the return to Iran for the first time since 2011, Middle East product manager, Michael Fleetwood, said: “Iran is one of the world’s most important historical centres and we are thrilled to be returning there.

“Hundreds of clients used to travel with us to Iran annually and we have had many people asking when we will be returning.

“So we are expecting a great deal of pent-up demand from people eager to experience its exquisite treasures, spectacular landscapes and hospitable people at first hand.”

Prices start at £1,995 per person for a 10-night small group tour including flights from London via Istanbul and two nights in Tehran.
