Affordable Car Hire announces management changes as ops director leaves

Affordable Car Hire operations director Natalie McLean is standing down after six years and leaving the business at the end of the month.

She is to pursue other new interests outside of the travel industry.

News of her departure came as part of a series of personnel changes at the company.

McLean is replaced by former Teletext Holidays operations manager Hayley Attwood, who becomes head of operations.

Former Holiday Autos group commercial director and managing director at Auto Europe EMEA, Simon Terry, joins as a non-executive director.

Jo Spacey, who joined Affordable last year, has been promoted to sales director.

Other changes see Charley Dove promoted to assistant commercial manager and Frances Howard joining as sales executive for the south.

Chief executive Angela Day said: “These new appointments bring added experience to our senior management team and will enable the business to continue to grow both here in the UK and in our developing overseas markets.

“At the same time, I would like to place on record our thanks to Natalie McLean who has played a key role in developing our marketing and operations over the last few years. We wish her all the best for the future.”

McLean added: “I have had a fantastic time working with Angela and the team and am sure the company will continue to go from strength to strength.”
