River cruise line Emerald Waterways will launch two new ships in 2017.
The line will launch Emerald Liberte on the Rhone and Saone rivers in France and Emerald Radiance on the Douro in Portugal.
The new ‘Star-Ships’ will bring Emerald’s fleet to a total of seven ships, and will come following the launch of Emerald Belle, which will be launched on the Rhine and Danube this year.
Emerald Liberte will carry 138 guests in 70 suites and staterooms, while sister ship Emerald Radiance will sail with 112 guests in 56 suites.
The former will have the line’s signature feature of a heated pool with a retractable glass roof which transforms into a cinema in the evening.
Emerald Radiance will be slightly different, with a pool on the top deck and no cinema.
Prices will start from £1,595.
