Scottish agency Barrhead Travel has opened two new stores in Edinburgh.
The new branches have been opened in Edinburgh Airport and in the city’s Hanover Street bringing the total number of stores in the Scottish capital to six.
The chain has other branches in the Gyle Shopping Centre, Cameron Toll, Queensferry Road and the St James Centre.
The new shop openings will create 20 jobs.
Barrhead said it saw an uplift of 35% for long-haul business during 2015, with USA, Caribbean and Dubai proving the most popular destinations.
Chief executive of Barrhead Travel, Sharon Munro, said: “The opening of our two new Edinburgh stores marks an exciting period of growth.
“This growth is being driven by increased customer demand across all areas of the business. As we grow our footprint in key locations throughout the country, we are also making moves to strengthen the depth of our specialist travel team knowledge to ensure that we meet our commitment to deliver the best and most comprehensive travel experience to our customers.
“We can only do this by attracting, retaining and growing the best people in the industry.”
