A winter storm in the US has forced thousands of east coast flights to be cancelled.
The National Weather Service issued warnings for much of the east coast, with New York airports among the worst affected.
Newark Liberty International airport saw over half of its departures delayed and 37% cancelled, while Ronald Reagan Washington National airport and John F Kennedy International airport were also affected.
According to reports, 1,200 flights were cancelled yesterday as many people attempted to travel home from the national President’s Day holiday.
