Brazil opens embassy for Olympic Games

The Embassy of Brazil is inviting the public to watch the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games with them.

From August 6 through to August 21 a lounge space will be open at the entrance of the London-based embassy. The lounge will showcase what lies beyond Rio, the ‘marvellous city’, and will present other tourist attractions of the State of Rio de Janeiro including its coastline, historical cities and tropical forests.

The Rio Olympic Lounge is a rare opportunity for the public to access the Brazilian Embassy, located close to Trafalgar Square, and is an initiative of the Embassy of Brazil, TurisRio (the State of Rio de Janeiro Tourist Authority) and supported by the Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau.

It will be open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm and admission is free.

The Games kick-off on August 5th at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
