Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort on St Lucia has launched a “Brexit Basher” guarantee for British travellers to help combat exchange rate fluctuations.
British travellers booking before 31 August 2016 will enjoy a frozen exchange rate maintaining values at pre referendum highs. This applies to all reservations through travel agents.
The rate also applies to all food and beverage (including meal plans), spa treatments, watersports and other resort based activities such as personal training and fitness classes and will appear as a resort credit at check out. Airport transfers, third party tours and excursions and currency exchanges are not included.
The offer is valid for travel from 01 August 2016 to 04 January 2017 and is applicable to new bookings only.
General manager Andre Boersma said: “We anticipated the sharp drop in the exchange rate between the British Pound and the US dollar following the referendum vote and we wanted to do something to protect our British guests from these currency fluctuations.
“We hope our British guests will take advantage of this exchange rate freeze and continue to travel to our stunning resort. Sugar Beach is the perfect place to escape from the politics they are facing back home.”
