Trade bed bank Bedsonline has appointed Tom Bell as its new country manager for the UK and England.
Bell starts on August 1, replacing Mark Hopper, who left in March after nine months in the role to join Sunhotels as regional UK and Ireland manager.
He will oversee four sales managers, all working closely with the trade to cover the south of England, the north, Scotland and Ireland, at the Hotelbeds-owned bed bank.
Bell said: “I´m thoroughly looking forward to this new role. Being a business-to-business company, the trade is essential to us, in particularly in the UK and Ireland, and I can´t wait to work with them closely over the coming months.”
Bedsonline offers more than 75,000 hotels, more than 15,000 transfer routes, and 10,000 activities, as well as car hire.
He was previously sales manager northern Europe for Transfers and Activities Bank, also part of Hotelbeds, and prior to that was sales manager central England for Bedsonline.
Bell has worked for the Hotelbeds group for almost four years but has been in travel for 17 years, working for companies including Ilkeston and Midlands Co-op Travel and Cosmos Holidays.
