Morgan quits BA sales role for new future

ASECOND high-profile British Airways manager responsible for trade sales is leaving the airline’s worldwide head-office.

General manager business sales UK and Ireland John Morgan quits BA on June 30.

News of Morgan’s leaving comes just a month after former head of UK and Ireland sales Dan Brewin transferred to New York as the airline’s executive vice-president sales and marketing for the US.

Morgan currently reports to Brewin’s successor Tiffany Hall, but he denied there was any friction with his new boss or with BA.

He said: “I have decided to try and have a look for something different. I think I will be better off career-wise.”

Morgan, 40, said he had no job lined-up after almost 11 years at BA.

He said there was no connection with BA’s current struggle to fill business-class seats and his departure.

Morgan’s post has yet to be filled.
