A new Tui Blue hotel is to open in Croatia next summer as the European travel giant expands its portfolio of wholly-owned properties.
The planned Tui Blue Jadran on a coastal section of the Croatian Riviera is part of Tui Group’s transformation to a hotel and cruise group.
The four-star hotel is situated directly on a beach and will have 161 rooms with 11 swim-up suites. The resort will also have four bars and three restaurants.
A ‘Bluefit programme’ – a combination of fitness, food and wellness – will be offered.
The new property will be the seventh under the Tui Blue brand following the first two hotels opening in Turkey in May and others due to open in Tenerife and Austria in November, Germany in December and Italy in spring 2017.
The existing property near the town of Makarska is currently being refurbished and adjusted to the Tui Blue concept. Bookings open on September 29.
Thomas Pietzka, head of Tui Hotels & Resorts, said: “The hotel business is a key element of TUI’s growth strategy. By opening this additional new hotel, we have shown that we are consistently implementing our goals and continue to expand our unique offering for our guests.”
Tui Blue managing director, Artur Gerber, added: “Croatia is developing into an increasingly popular trend destination.
“I am therefore particularly delighted that we are growing here with our hotel brand Tui Blue.”
