ANEW technology consultancy has been launched with the aim of advising tour operators and travel agents on how to computerise their businesses.
Cheshire-based Shaw Business Solutions is offering to carry out evaluations of a company’s technology needs and then say what system will fulfil those needs most cost effectively.
Founder Derrick Shaw, who has worked for systems providers Anite and Data Management Group, said he would give advice on aspects of technology ranging from back-office systems to selling holidays over the Internet.
“For the smaller company, it is usually a question of the directors struggling to decide which of the many offerings in the marketplace is right for them,” said Shaw.
“Every company will assure them that its product is the perfect solution, but the wrong decision can be an expensive disaster.”
