Rosenbluth prepares system to handle £40m BAe account

ROSENBLUTH International is to handle the newly acquired British Aerospace account through two implants and its European call centre in Killarney, Ireland.

The agency won the £40m account from American Express, BTIUK Hogg Robinson and Portman Travel (TravelWeekly March 22).

Rosenbluth director of business development Europe, Pieter Rieder, said it would use a sophisticated call management system which it currently uses in the US.

The system is able to flow calls between a 10-strong implant at BAe’s offices in Farnborough in Hampshire, a 35-strong implant at Warton in Lancashire and the agency’s Killarney call centre.

“We will have a core dedicated team at Killarney, but if they are busy the calls will be routed through to one of the other associates,” explained Rieder.

“One of the main reasons that Rosenbluth was selected to handle the account was that its Irish call centre employs staff who speak a number of languages.”

He said as BAe consolidates the accounts of its other offices in Europe, their calls can also be flowed through to Killarney.

Rosenbluth intends to bid for the European accounts as and when they are up for renewal.

Two are due to go out to tender later this year.

In the US, BAe is expected to review its travel management arrangements at the end of this year. It is currently handled by a number of different agencies.

Rieder said more staff would be recruited as the account grows.
