Premier takes over Isle of Man operator

LONG-haul specialist Premier Holidays is taking control of Isle of Man operator Everymann Holidays with a pledge to build sales through the trade and make product available on viewdata.

The operation was previously under the management of the Isle of Man’s Department of Tourism.

Tourism director Geoff Le Page said:”It was felt by the department that Premier offered the strength to allow Everymann to expand. We want to increase business through the travel trade, conference market and overseas.”

The handover takes place on November 1 but Premier will take responsibility for planning the 2000 programme immediately. The nine staff working for Everymann will be transferred to other positions within the department or other departments within the civil service.

Premier deputy managing director Susan Papworth said the product will run alongside its own Isle of Man programme.

“Our aim is to get better racking opportunities with independent agents and increase sales through the trade.”

An initial three-year deal has been struck between the tourism department and Premier.
