YOUR article about possible future venues for ABTAConventions correctly reports long-haul venues such as Orlando, the Bahamas and Dubai were favoured by most of the members and non-members alike that we polled (Travel Weekly March 15).
However, I would like to make it clear that ABTAwould not consider a long-haul venue for 2000. We are sensitive to our delegates’ budgets and having visited Australia this year our 2000 choice would be short-haul. That is why we are investigating Kos and the city of Lisbon.
