THE SHAKESPEARE Country stand at BTTF is expected to be one of the busiest at the show thanks to the success of the hit film Shakespeare in Love.
South Warwickshire Tour- ism is keen to maximise the huge interest in the playwright’s life by encouraging visitors to the region.
On the Shakespeare Country stand will be representatives from Cox’s Yard, Stratford’s newest attraction where visitors can see the history of the town acted out, as well as Coughton Court, which is linked to the gunpowder plot, and the Shakespeare Houses and Royal Shakespeare Company.
Apart from Stratford, new developments in the region include the refurbishment of the Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington Spa.
South Warwickshire marketing manager Anne Taylor welcomed the surge in Shakespeare’s popularity.
“We are expecting plenty of interest in the Bard, but we will also focus on the area’s many other attractions,” she said.
