Hertz works hard to provide efficient service


I WOULD like to respond to the letter from the anonymous Lunn Poly employee which I thought was very unfair (Travel Weekly February 24).



I am a member of the Hertz reservations team, which deals with travel agents, including Lunn Poly. We are a very happy, friendly team and we are delighted to be receiving so many calls from Lunn Poly and other travel agents as a result of our ú99 deal.



Despite what was said in the letter we know Lunn Poly employees are not being forced to call Hertz, they are calling us because this is a great offer. Everyone in my team knows that the reason we are here is to help the travel agents that we serve.



There is no doubt that our lives as well as those of the people calling are much easier when we are pleasant and helpful.



We are offended by the comments in the letter as we work hard, we do answer our phones as quickly as possible and we always try to help.
