Northern Ireland tourists set to benefit from new BAlounge


BRITISHAirways has invested ú200,000 in a new lounge at Manchester Airport dedicated to passengers travelling to Northern Ireland.



Called the Causeway Lounge, it is for exclusive use of travellers flying with BA’s franchise partner British Regional Airlines to Belfast and Londonderry. The lounge is located at Gate Three, has a bar, cafe and business facilities and can accommodate up to 96 people.



British Regional Airlines airport manager John Creighton said:”We have tried to reflect the Northern Ireland heritage with the name and imagery of the new lounge.”



At present, the airline operates seven return flights a day between Manchester and Belfast’s two airports, and two flights a day to Londonderry.



It carries a total of 270,000 passengers a year on the two routes.
