Manager floors boxing celebrity with knockout pin-stripe charm

BACKCHAT wasn’t at all surprised to see former boxing world champion Chris Eubank hovering around the entrance of The Travel Company’s Hotel Workshop at the Landmark Hotel, London.

After all, you would expect a few celebrities to be involved an event organised by The Travel Company, which has top-level contacts in the media business.

So imagine the disappointment when it turned out that the eccentric sports star just happened to be passing by on his way to another engagement.

Apparently, he was so taken with the brown pin-stripe suit of the agency’s business travel manager, Annabelle Iredale, that he just had to stop to tell her about it.

Taken aback by his admiration, Annabelle invited Chris to join The Travel Company staff and hoteliers for a glass of champagne later that evening.

But the fitness fanatic declined, explaining that alcohol would damage his performance.

Instead, Chris and his mate Frank Bruno were off to a much tamer event – the opening of Tommy Hilfiger’s new shop in London.
