Euclidian targets travel industry with new protection scheme

EUCLIDIAN Insurance Services has launched a liability scheme for agents and tour operators.

The new product covers public liability, professional indemnity, employers’ liability and emergency assistance.

The City of London firm’s scheme is its first travel product since acquiring JS Insurance last summer in a million-pound deal.

Euclidian director Alan Lumsden will manage the new agent and operator protection scheme.

He said the new cover was introduced to take into account the European Commission directive on package travel which made operators liable for client complaints.

“This is an obvious sector of the market for a company of our size to develop,” he said. “We expect it to be the first of many products we will be developing for the travel industry.”
