n amadeus bookings soar for millennium sales



Amadeus, the global distribution system, has processed more than 500,000 airline bookings for 2000, on nearly 300different carriers around the world since it began takingbookings for the Millennium on January 5. The company is continuing to prepare for the year 2000 transition, carrying out additional testing with travel service providers and agency customers, along with general contingency planning.



n Genesys to present web seminar at BTTF



Travel technology consultancy Genesys will be presenting a seminar, Winning Ways on the Web, at the British Travel Trade Fair at the NECin Birmingham next month. Theseminar will explain how to maximise the marketing value on being on-line, and covers everything from initial design to how to make search engines work to best advantage. The BTTF takes place between March 24 and 25.



n on-line service to list disabled access



Travel agents serving disabled customers can now access a new listings service for hotels that provide specialist access and services. The web address and list is called Everybody’s Hotel Directory and can be found at www.everybody.co.uk
