Michael Cairns, the group chief operating officer for hotels at Queens Moat Houses, will retire on April 30. His responsibilities will be taken over by two top executives – Germandivision managing director Hans Gemmer, and Dutch division managing director Michael Finkleman. As part of the shake-up, Finkleman will also take over therunning of the UK/Netherlands division.
n team lifts interest
The management team at airport currency exchange operator Travelex has increased its shareholding in the company from 46% to 67%. The balance has been acquired by venture capital firm 3i. Former shareholders Abbey National and Investec have been bought out.

Rosenbluth International has renewed its business travel contracts with three clients. These are health and financial services provider CIGNA; US-based Toyota Motor Sales; and executive search firm Korn/Ferry International.
