ADVANTAGE Travel Centres managing director Ron Muir has admitted the consortium is now powerless to punish agents who join the franchise but fail to pull their weight.
He said the scrapping of the fine for not hitting targets (Travel Weekly January 6) had weakened its hopes of enforcing greater discipline. “In any organisation you get a minority who are coasters,” said Muir. “Because they have paid their fees they think they are entitled to all the benefits without doing anything else. I do not think that is reasonable.”
