Yemen tragedy prompts rethink


THE travel industry will meet with Foreign Office officials in February to discuss ways of improving and distributing the Government’s travel advice.



The move, announced this week by foreign secretary Robin Cook, follows the murder of four tourists in Yemen and the kidnapping of an oil worker in the country.



Cook told the Commons he wanted operators to tell the Consular Division of the Foreign Office when tours are being organised to potentially volatile areas.
