ONE CLIENT threatened to pour cement at the door of a Going Places agency in Newport if he wasn’t compensated for an unsatisfactory holiday.
The multiple’s customer services manager Virginia King spoke to the customer who admitted it was the tour operator’s responsibility but said the company was 200 miles away and he couldn’t afford to send the cement lorry that far. With Mr Jones threatening to send the cement lorry back every day until the matter was resolved, King said Going Places decided it was better to settle the case and deal with the tour operator themselves.
“Mr Jones sent us a letter saying he will be booking with Going Places again.”
