Somak MD condemns operators on Goa
SOMAK Holidays managing director Stuart Britton has accused mass-market operators of cheapening Goa.Speaking at the launch of the operator’s Goa 2000 brochure, Britton said they have adopted a short-haul mentality to a long-haul destination.
“I feel it is sold too cheaply and regarded as a down market destination,” he said. “Charter flights only land on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday so there is a bottle neck of demand. There is no need for this approach.”
Somak has introduced the five-star Taj Exotica in southern Goa with 14 nights from £729. The Nizmar Resort and Reis Magos Fort Resort are also new to the programme
