n festival chooses names for new ships
Festival Cruises is naming its two forthcoming ships European Vision and European Dream. The750-passenger vessels will be delivered in June next year and April 2002 respectively, bringing the cruiseline’s total fleet to six ships. A further two vessels are planned for 2003 and 2004. Meanwhile, Festival chairman and chief executive George Poulides has revealed the company is considering a listing on the Athens Stock Exchange.
n tourism queensland appoints uk manager
Tourism Queensland has announced the appointment of Susan Rallings as manager UK/Ireland and Scandinavia. Rallings joins the organisation after running a management consultancy and speakers and training bureau based in Brisbane. She replaces Larry Monk who has joined the events division of Tourism Queensland in Brisbane.
