Noel needs to check facts on scheduled seats
I agreed with the general sentiment inNoel Josephides’ article (Travel Weekly April 24).But he was mistaken in saying that ‘the scheduled carriers, however, do not allowpre-booking of seats in economy.’
While it is true the bulk of European airlines do not allow pre-booking of seats in economy, the majority of North American carriers have allowed pre-booking in virtually all economy-booking classes for years.
And, unlike the charter airlines, this is at no additional charge.
