Palladium Hotel Group predicts strong summer season

Palladium Hotel Group is to open its Mediterranean resorts earlier than in 2019 as it predicts a strong summer season.

The company will begin to open its beach hotels in Ibiza, Menorca and Sicily from April 1, with Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa, Palladium Hotel Don Carlos and Palladium Hotel Palmyra the first to welcome guests alongside Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa.

The group’s only beachfront hotel in mainland Spain, Palladium Hotel Costa del Sol, has already opened for the season.

Chief executive Jesús Sobrino said: “This year, we will open even earlier than we did in 2019 as people start to rediscover the allure of travel once again.

“The appeal of our islands has not diminished in anyway and we’re therefore confident of being able to open our hotels for a long period this year.”

Some of the hotels within the Palladium portfolio have been repositioned ahead of the 2022 season, Sobrino added, while the TRS Ibiza Hotel is due to open in mid-May.

He said: “We have high expectations for the opening of TRS Ibiza Hotel. It is one of our most ambitious projects this year and the one that excites us the most because it involves exporting our leading luxury brand from America to Europe for the first time.”
