Virgin Atlantic is giving agents the chance to perform on stage at Travel Weekly‘s Agent Achievement Awards as part of its new ‘It’s Your Time to Fly’ campaign.
The airline, which is headline sponsoring the event for a third consecutive year, said it wants to “take it to the next level” on July 13 by inviting one agent up on stage to sing a song.
To enter, agents must record a 60-second video of themselves performing and submit it through the link at travelweekly.co.uk/competitions. The airline will then shortlist several agents and invite them to sing in a live final held at the Soho Hotel in London on June 12.
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges and will be given a makeover prior to their performance, including a new outfit.
The winning agent will also receive two Premium Economy seats on a Virgin Atlantic route.
Speaking on a Travel Weekly webcast, director of agency sales Nicki Goldsmith said: “This is the third year we’ve been sponsoring the AAAs. Not only is it an absolutely amazing event, it’s a great opportunity for us to show the UK travel trade just how much we love them.
“We are going out with a competition to look for some talent through the UK travel trade. We want you to come to the AAAs and perform on behalf of Virgin Atlantic as we know there’s so much talent out there in the trade.
“[We are] looking for an agent that can sing, perform, dazzle and represent Virgin Atlantic in our true flair and style.”
She added: “We will make sure you come onto the stage feeling absolutely amazing so there’ll be a new outfit, make-up, hair, whatever you want.”
