British Airways will be offering more routes to Italy than any other European country with the introduction of three new services.
Rimini full be served from Heathrow, Salerno from Gatwick and Olbia in Sardinia from London City, complement existing flights from Heathrow.
The summer seasonal Rimini flights start on May 15 and will operate on Mondays, Thursday and Saturdays until September 27 with return fares starting at £131.
BA Euroflyer will operate three flights a week to Salerno on the Amalfi coast from May 22 until October 25 with return fares leading in at £168.
For summer 2025, British Airways customers will be able to choose from either London City or Heathrow to fly to Olbia in Sardinia. British Airways’ London City-based subsidiary,
BA Cityflyer will also introduce a weekly service from London City to Olbia from May 25, increasing to a twice weekly service from July 16 until September 28 with returns starting at £116.
Olbia is one of two destinations the serves in Sardinia, alongside Cagliari on the south coast from Gatwick.
BA chief planning and strategy officer Neil Chernoff said: “Italy continues to prove hugely popular with our customers, which is why it’s our biggest European destination, and second globally behind the US.
“Last month, we saw a 10% increase in searches for summer flights to Italy compared to 2023, so we’re pleased to be offering an even bigger choice of destinations next year.
“Rimini, Salerno and Olbia are all coastal destinations, so we expect them to be particularly popular with our leisure customers seeking sun, sea, and of course Italy’s fantastic food.”
