Bristol regains links with Frankfurt and Dublin hubs

Bristol airport has been reconnected with Lufthansa’s global hub in Frankfurt.

Flights to the German city restarted on Monday with a frequency of four a week, rising to a daily schedule in September.

Fares start at £159 return including taxes.

The move follows Aer Lingus resuming five flights a week between Bristol and Dublin on Sunday with one-way prices starting at £39.99, giving access to the Irish carrier’s transatlantic network.

Lufthansa Group Northern Europe senior sales director Heinrich Lange sad: “We are extremely pleased to announce that Lufthansa will be operating up to four weekly flights from Bristol airport this summer, and up to seven weekly flights starting in September.

“We look forward to connecting our passengers in south-west England with our main Lufthansa hub in Germany.

“With just a short stopover in Frankfurt, our customers will have access to hundreds of connections to numerous destinations within our vast, global network.”
