Pricewaterhouse Coopers is to offer insight into the outlook for the UK economy and the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on customers in a session at Abta’s Travel Convention in Marrakech.
The session will include research on consumers’ approach to spending and how they are prioritising travel spend.
It will be presented by Rick Jones, partner – corporate finance and head of travel and leisure, and Eleanor Scott, director at Strategy&, which is part of the PwC network.
Abta has also announced that Airlines UK chief executive Tim Alderslade will join a panel discussion on the aviation sector’s sustainability efforts.
Alderslade will discuss “the use of sustainable aviation fuels to reduce climate impact, decarbonise the industry and reach the net-zero target, addressing what this would mean for growth in the sector and travel more broadly”.
The Travel Convention will take place in Marrakech from October 10-12, and will be Abta’s first overseas convention since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Other speakers confirmed for the convention include former Conservative MP Rory Stewart and consultant and author Christine Armstrong, in addition to Intrepid Travel chief executive James Thornton.
