Low-cost carrier easyJet has cancelled several flights from Bristol airport today as problems with staffing levels continue.
A spokesperson for the airport said they were pre-emptive cancellations by the airline because of the widely published crew shortage across its network.
A statement from easyJet said: “easyJet will operate the vast majority of its 1,599 flights today with a small proportion cancelled in advance to give customers the ability to rebook onto alternative flights. We are sorry for any inconvenience for affected customers.
“And, as in the event of any cancellation, we are contacting all affected customers directly and providing them with their options which include rebooking onto an alternative flight, or receiving a voucher or full refund.”
Services to Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Olbia and Mahon were affected.
The cancellations follow the axing of 200-plus flights last weekend which were blamed on staff sickness, and more on Monday.
