Gibraltar to host Business Travel Association autumn conference

Gibraltar is to host the Business Travel Association autumn conference on board a floating hotel.

The flagship event aims to aid the business travel industry’s bounce back post-pandemic, according to the organisation.

The conference will offer three nights stay to delegates for the first time, giving attendees an additional day to explore Gibraltar and for informal networking.

Being staged on September 29-October 2 on board the Sunborn Yacht Hotel, delegate flights will run from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester.

Registration opens on February 5.

BTA chief executive Clive Wratten said: “The autumn conference is our biggest event of the year, and I extend our great thanks to the minister of tourism in Gibraltar for his support in bringing our conference to the Territory.

“I am delighted to offer BTA delegates a three night conference in this spectacular gateway location to facilitate networking, debate, education, thought provoking conference content and socialising.”

Gibraltar tourism minister Christian Santos added: “This is a chance to celebrate this vibrant industry within our historic centre.

“Business travel isn’t just about reaching destinations; it’s about forging connections, unlocking opportunities, and showcasing the vibrant tapestry of innovation and commerce.

“Gibraltar stands tall as a beacon for hosting great companies, a testament to the power of a destination that nurtures growth and excellence with a passion that makes us proud ambassadors for travel and hospitality.”
