LA tourism bosses tip trade to benefit from latest marketing campaign

Los Angeles Tourism chiefs believe the travel trade will see an upturn in autumn enquiries off the back of a wide-ranging advertising campaign across London.

The adverts are the latest iteration of the city’s ‘Now Playing’ campaign and have run since September 9 in out-of-home placements and on search and social media.

The campaign is due to run until the end of October and has included placements at London’s Waterloo and Euston stations as well as across the wider London transport network.

The largest placement has been at ‘The Cube’, a “dynamic digital landscape” claimed to be seen by half a million consumers daily on Oxford Street.

Speaking at the start of Brand USA’s Travel Week in London, chief executive Adam Burke said: “It is fantastic to see the latest iteration of our Now Playing campaign burst to life across the UK, one of the most important markets for Los Angeles Tourism.

“Los Angeles is rolling out the red carpet and bringing the LA vibe directly to Europe’s busiest shopping street to create urgency and encourage travellers to visit our city on their next trip.”

Francine Sheridan, regional vice-president for Europe & Middle East, added: “We anticipate the UK travel trade will see an increase in client interest in LA over the autumn period as consumers are inspired by our nationwide advertising campaign.”
