Norse Atlantic and Aer Lingus cut transatlantic fares

Winter transatlantic return fares from below £240 are being offered in a flash sale by Norse Atlantic Airways.

The low fares long-haul newcomer is discounting fares to seven US cities and two Caribbean destinations from Gatwick.

The promotional rates, available to book by midnight on September 12, start at £239 return to Boston and Washington DC.

Fares to New York, Miami and Orlando start at £279 return, with San Francisco at £309, Los Angeles at £359, Barbados at £325 and Jamaica at £339.     

The travel dates run until the end of March 2024.

Commercial director Bard Nordhagen said: “The Norse Atlantic global sale has some truly amazing offers to start off the month of September. 

“Whether customers are looking for a winter sun destination such as Jamaica, Barbados and Miami or simply wanting a city break in the US, such as New York, we have special sale fares available across a wide selection of our direct flights from London.” 

Meanwhile, Aer Lingus transatlantic fares from Manchester are being cut to lead in at £339 return to New York, Orlando and Barbados

The promotional fares are available to book until midnight on September 18 for travel between October 1 and March 13 next year.

The Irish airline is also cutting 30% off fares to Ireland and Northern Ireland.
