Scandinavian airline SAS handled the highest monthly number of passengers since before the pandemic in July.
The volume increased by 82% year-on-year to 2.4 million – just 100,000 above rival Norwegian Air.
However, the performance at SAS was affected by a pilot’s strike in July 2022.
Capacity rose by 84% over the same month last year and a load factor of 86% was achieved.
Chief executive Anko van der Werf said: “The summer season continued with another busy month for SAS.
“2.4 million passengers travelled with SAS in July, the highest passenger figure since before the pandemic.
“We are pleased to see the positive trend for passenger demand, with continued booking strength throughout the month of July.”
