Singapore further eases Covid rules for visitors

Singapore has announced plans to further ease its Covid travel requirements later this month.

From April 26, fully vaccinated travellers and non-fully vaccinated children aged 12 and under will no longer be required to take a pre-departure test prior to arrival in Singapore.

The move also means fully vaccinated travellers will no longer need to quarantine after arrival.

All non-fully vaccinated travellers will still be required to take a pre-departure test within two days before departure for Singapore, quarantine for seven days upon arrival and take a PCR test at the end of their quarantine period.

Michael Rodriguez, area director Northern & Southwestern Europe at Singapore Tourism Board, said: “Following the successful launch of the Vaccinated Travel Framework earlier this month and with the removal of pre-departure testing requirements, we are excited to welcome fully vaccinated travellers back to experience a reimagined Singapore.

“Our Ministry of Health has continued to monitor the local and global Covid situation and has taken a measured approach to gradually easing restrictions to allow for safe travel.

“We have so much to share with visitors this year including the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, Singapore Food Festival and Gardens by the Bay’s 10th anniversary.”
