CWT director joins Business Travel Association board

CWT supplier management senior director Varinder Atwal has been appointed to the board of the Business Travel Association.

She will assist the association in showcasing the important role business travel plays in the UK and the global economy following Covid-19.

Atwal has more than 23 years’ experience in the travel industry, having previously held a range of sales, marketing and leadership roles at KLM and Air France for over 15 years.

BTA chief executive Clive Wratten said: “We are thrilled to welcome Varinder Atwal to our executive board at such a pivotal time for the sector.

“Her abundance of relevant skills and unequivocal passion for TMCs around the world makes her a worthy addition to the team.

“Working together we will implement tangible change to shape and support the business travel industry throughout 2021 and beyond.”

Atwal added: “Working with the TMC community for over 20 years, I understand their significance in keeping the travel sector running.

“I am delighted to be joining the BTA’s executive board, whose dedication to the TMC and travel sectors is greatly respected across the industry.

“I am looking forward to having a platform to share my knowledge and discuss the crucial topics affecting our members and partners.”
