Golden Horizon sails into UK ahead of revised debut sailings

Tradewind Voyages sailing ship Golden Horizon has arrived in the UK ahead of a revised schedule of coastal voyages.

The 272-passenger vessel arrived into Portland in Dorset on Thursday.

The world’s largest tall ship will sail with a limited capacity of 136 due to government restrictions.

Golden Horizon will spend three days in Portland before being anchored in Weymouth Bay for three days and returning back into Portland on June 30.

The ship will embark on a six-night ‘dress rehearsal’ sailing on July 1 to  Falmouth, Fowey, Dartmouth and Poole followed by a second identical itinerary departing on July 7.

Five voyages have been confirmed from July 15 with lead-in prices of £849.

They include four departures from Dover, including an inaugural voyage on July 24 to Cowes and Plymouth, plus a departure from Harwich on August 4 during Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight.

The company said: “Having been forced to make several changes to the 2021 UK schedule in order to comply with the government’s latest restrictions, Tradewind Voyages has released full details of the revised programme.”
