Hebridean Island Cruises to operate third vessel in 2022

Hebridean Island Cruises has unveiled the debut programme for recently-acquired ship Lord of the Highlands.

The 40-passenger vessel will operate a mix of five and seven-night Scottish sailings between April and October 2022 alongside Hebridean’s other ships – Hebridean Princess and Lord of the Glens.

Prices for Highland Waterways Discovery voyages departing from Inverness throughout the season start from £3,850.

Fare includes full board, shore excursions, guide, gratuities, and WiFi.

Lord of the Highlands will also offer seven-night Caledonian Canal Explorer departures, plus a handful of five-night sailings at the beginning and end of the 2022 season.

Prices for the five-night Caledonian Tapestry sailing, departing from Fort Augustus on October 13, lead in from £2,390. The cruise calls into Isle of Iona and the Isle of Mull before finishing in Oban.

Business development manager Hannah Cockell said: “We’re working with partners that we were not working with before [the pandemic]. With our increased portfolio, we’re working with small specialised cruise agencies and Scottish holiday specialists.

“The appetite for domestic cruises and small ship cruises in particular is bigger then ever.

“Now we’ve got a range of products that we can offer a range of customers, who might have taken a cruise in the Med or a long-haul fly-cruise in the past.”

Hebridean acquired its second vessel – Lord of the Glens – in 2020. The ship is aimed at the charter and groups market and Cockell said two departures in October next year have availabiltiy.
