Hurtigruten’s UK head of marketing has left the line after nearly six years in the role following a restructure.
Richard Adams, who was also responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, expressed his thanks for the past support of the line in a statement to partners from general manager Anthony Daniels on Tuesday.
Daniels said the decision to make Adams’ role redundant had “been driven by the organisational restructure whereby local marketing will be serviced with a global direction”.
Daniels said he would soon reveal who will take on Adams’ responsibilities and lead the UK and EMEA marketing team at Hurtigruten.
“It leaves me to say, this has been an incredibly tough process and Richard remains a friend and respected colleague who throughout showed full professionalism,” Daniels added.

Adams joined Hurtigruten in June 2015 after leaving tour operator Collette.
He has previously held positions at online travel agency Black Dog Holidays, where he was director, and Great Rail Journeys.
Last year, Hurtigruten announced it was creating a separate entity for its expeditions cruises in the face of “challenges” experienced during the global pandemic.
