Marella Cruises has cancelled all three of its voyages departing from Majorca in March.
The cruise line confirmed that seven-night cruises on Marella Discovery 2 on March 15, 22 and 29 will no longer go ahead as planned.
A seven-night Mediterranean Medley sailing, departing on April 5 on Palma, Majorca, is the first itinerary now listed to depart from Palma currently listed on Marella’s website.
The line did not give a specific reason for the cancellations. Travel Weekly has made a request for comment.
Marella was also forced to cancel two Caribbean sailings earlier this month over recently-introduced Covid measures in Barbados.
The 2,076-passenger Marella Discovery’s departures on January 2 and January 9 were both pulled.
Marella told passengers in a letter that Bajan authorities were no longer allowing asymptomatic cases to isolate ashore as they had done previously.
Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean International have all cancelled itineraries in recent weeks due to the surge in Omicron case numbers globally.
