Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to offer Canary Islands cruises from Europe on Norwegian Sun this winter.
The 1,936-passenger vessel will reposition from Miami to Lisbon on a 22-day voyage before starting the itinerary programme from November 21.
Cruises range from 10 to 14 days in length and will depart from embarkation ports including Lisbon, Portugal; Malaga, Spain; and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
This winter will be the first time the line has offered itineraries that include ports of call in the Canary Islands since 2017.
Prices for the 11-day Europe: Spain, Portugal & Gibraltar sailing, departing from Granada on December 9, 2022, start from £570.
Ports of call include Cadiz, Spain; Funchal, Portugal; and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Cruises include no more than two days at sea and an average of 12 hours of port time, with late-night stays in Lisbon, Portugal; Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Las Palmas, both Spain; and Casablanca, Morocco.
In addition to Sun’s winter sailings, nine NCL ships are sailing in Europe this summer. Sun is currently operating voyages in Alaska departing from Seattle.
President Harry Sommer said: “The Canaries have always been a draw for travellers from all over the globe and now more so when seeking some much-needed winter sun.
“Norwegian Sun’s new itineraries provide for a unique combination of the Canary Islands with ports in Portugal, mainland Spain as well as Morocco, offering our guests an all-year Europe season with nine ships to make the most of their travel this year.”
