Outgoing P&O Cruises vice-president sales and marketing Alex Delamere-White is to join retirement community developer McCarthy Stone as chief commercial officer.
Delamere-White’s departure from P&O Cruises was announced on Tuesday morning. He will join McCarthy Stone in “early summer 2021” after a 12-year spell with Carnival UK, where he previously worked for Princess Cruises and Cunard.
In his new role he will join the executive committee and be responsible for all sales and marketing activity for McCarthy Stone, which describes itself as “the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities”.

He joins with a huge amount of experience from another leading business and brings considerable sales and brand-building knowledge.
