Royal Caribbean Group has pushed back the restart of its brands’ cruises to at least May 31.
The suspension of sailings on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises have been extended to May 31, while the suspension of sailings on Azamara have been pushed back to June 30.
There are some exclusions, including Royal Caribbean International’s Quantum of the Seas resumed sailing in Singapore last year and Spectrum of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas sailings from China, which are due to resume from April 30.
Royal also confirmed that recently-announced sailings to Greece and Cyprus from Israel onboard new ship Odyssey of the Seas have gone on sale today. It’s first sailing is now departing on June 2.
The company said it has been working closely with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and government authorities around the world toward its resumption date.
Guests and travel agents affected by the extension of the suspension will be contacted by the lines, Royal Caribbean Group said.
