Viva Cruises issues 2026 itineraries and moves to HVO fuel

Viva Cruises will operate 325 river cruises throughout 2026, including six ships sailing all year-round for the first time.

Viva One, Viva Two, Viva Enjoy, Viva Moments, Viva Gloria and Swiss Ruby will operate cruises throughout the year, including themed cruises between January and March, including “wellness cruises”.

Viva has also increased the number of seven-night cruise options on the Danube for 2026 on Viva Two and Viva Enjoy, and will have its largest offering on the Rhone since 2018 on Viva Voyage.

The line is also introducing its largest winter programme on the Seine with Viva Gloria available in January and February 2026, including combinable three-night city stays in Paris and four-night cruises.

Viva One and Viva Moments will offer a range of shorter cruises on the Rhine, aimed at those new to river cruising.

Meanwhile, Porto Mirante will offer additional departures on the Douro River, and Via Tiara, one of the line’s smallest ships, will sail on the Rhine, Moselle and Main.

The river cruise line’s Viva Boutique offering will also be live, including its first ship in the brand, Viva Beyond (pictured), which will have its inaugural voyage on the Seine in May 2026 and will operate 25 voyages throughout the year.

Viva Cruises will have another new ship Viva Enjoy join the fleet in January 2025 , which will sail short cruises on the Danube.

Viva Ruby will also be fully integrated into the fleet and provide itineraries on smaller rivers and canals from February to December 2026.

All itineraries include full board, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, high tea, a mini bar, Rituals beauty products, Wi-Fi and all tips and gratuities.

Early-bird rates for 2026 voyages are available until December 31, 2024, and include a complimentary shore excursion.

From 2026, Viva Cruises’ fleet will solely operate on fossil fuel-free hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) made from vegetable oils and used cooking oils, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 90%.

Andrea Kruse, Viva Cruises chief executive, said: “2026 will be another milestone for Viva Cruises. We are so pleased about the fact that guests from around the globe have embraced our concept so strongly that we will be operating six ships all year round for the first time in 2026.

He continued: “In addition, following our fleet expansion, we are truly excited to be launching Viva Boutique in 2026, our new and even higher-quality product line for the most discerning passengers.”
